Terms and Conditions

Platform, account, and registration — read with the Official Tournament Rules and the Privacy and Publicity Consent Policy.

Relationship to Other Documents; Interpretation; Conflict Priority

These Terms and Conditions (these “Terms”) operate together with the Official Tournament Rules and the Privacy and Publicity Consent Policy (collectively, the “Documents”). The following priority applies:

  • Tournament-specific matters—including format, eligibility, prizes, match administration, scoring, forfeits, refunds as stated in the Official Tournament Rules, and dispute resolution for Tournament-related claims—are governed by the Official Tournament Rules.
  • Privacy, publicity, and personal data-use matters are governed by the Privacy and Publicity Consent Policy.
  • General platform, account, website, and non-Tournament use of the Platform are governed by these Terms.
  • If there is a direct conflict between Documents on the same subject matter, the more specific Document controls over the more general Document.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern use of the ctpickup.net website, tournament registration pages, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”) operated by CT Pickup LLC (“Organizer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing the Platform, creating an account, registering for a Tournament, or otherwise using the services, you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Platform, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old, reside in an eligible U.S. state, and that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by these Terms, the applicable Official Tournament Rules, and the Privacy and Publicity Consent Policy. Tournament competition, prizes, format, and Tournament-related disputes are governed by the Official Tournament Rules as provided in these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Platform.

2. Account Registration

2.1 Accurate Information

User agrees to provide accurate, current, and complete information as prompted and to maintain and promptly update such information as necessary. Falsifying registration information may result in account suspension or termination, disqualification from Tournaments, forfeiture of prizes, and denial of future access to the Platform.

2.2 Account Security

User is responsible for safeguarding account credentials and for all activity occurring under the account. User agrees not to share login credentials, permit unauthorized access, or allow any other person to use the account.

3. Payment Authorization

3.1 Entry Fee Payments

If User elects to pay an Entry Fee, User authorizes Organizer or its third-party payment processor to charge the specified amount to the payment method provided. User represents and warrants that the User has the legal right to use the payment method and that all payment information submitted is accurate and current.

3.2 Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without a valid basis constitutes a material breach of these Terms. Organizer reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to suspend or terminate the User’s account, disqualify the User from any Tournament, deny future registrations, and pursue reimbursement of amounts owed.

4. Prohibited Conduct

User agrees not to:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal, deceptive, or fraudulent purpose, including gambling, wagering, bookmaking, or facilitating side bets.
  • Misrepresent eligibility, identity, age, residency, or location, including by using VPNs, proxy servers, device spoofing, false information, or similar methods to bypass state or eligibility restrictions.
  • Harass, threaten, abuse, intimidate, or impersonate other users, participants, staff, or spectators.
  • Upload, transmit, or introduce viruses, malware, malicious code, or other harmful or disruptive material.
  • Circumvent, disable, damage, overburden, or interfere with security features or the proper functioning of the Platform.
  • Engage in cheating, collusion, match-fixing, account-sharing, unauthorized software use, fraud, or any unfair conduct prohibited by the Official Tournament Rules.

5. Suspension and Termination

Organizer may suspend, restrict, or terminate User access to the Platform at any time, with or without prior notice, for violation of these Terms, violation of the Official Tournament Rules, suspected fraud or illegal activity, nonpayment, chargeback abuse, security concerns, or to comply with applicable law, regulation, court order, or governmental request.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Organizer Content

All content made available on or through the Platform, including logos, trademarks, service marks, text, graphics, images, software, designs, layouts, and other materials, is owned by Organizer or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. User is granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Platform solely for lawful personal use and participation in Tournaments.

6.2 User Content

To the extent User uploads, submits, posts, streams, shares, or otherwise provides content through the Platform or in connection with a Tournament, User grants Organizer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, reproduce, display, perform, distribute, publish, and format such content for purposes of operating, administering, recording, advertising, promoting, reporting on, and improving the Platform, the Tournaments, and Organizer’s related services. Publicity and Tournament-related uses of identifying information are also governed by the Privacy and Publicity Consent Policy and the Official Tournament Rules where applicable.

User represents that the User has all rights necessary to provide such content and to grant this license.

7. Third-Party Disclaimers

The Platform and Tournaments are operated independently by CT Pickup LLC. They are not sponsored by, endorsed by, administered by, or affiliated with Electronic Arts Inc., EA SPORTS, Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC, Microsoft Corporation, Nintendo, or any console manufacturer, publisher, league, or other third party unless expressly stated in writing by Organizer. References to third-party games, products, systems, services, or platforms do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

8.1 No Warranties

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Organizer disclaims all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, availability, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement. Organizer does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

8.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Organizer and its owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, business opportunities, or data, arising out of or relating to the Platform, any Tournament, or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Organizer’s total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Platform, any Tournament, or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of US$50 or the amount actually paid by User to Organizer in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Privacy; Publicity; Data Use

The Privacy and Publicity Consent Policy governs collection, use, disclosure, retention, security, and publicity rights for personal information and Tournament-related content, including how gamertags, results, and media may be displayed. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy and Publicity Consent Policy regarding privacy, publicity, or data use, the Privacy and Publicity Consent Policy controls. Tournament-specific publicity and data references in the Official Tournament Rules work together with the Privacy and Publicity Consent Policy under the Document priority rule stated at the top of these Terms.

10. Communications

By creating an account, registering for a Tournament, or otherwise using the Platform, User consents to receive electronic communications from Organizer relating to the Platform and Tournaments, including account notices, confirmations, reminders, bracket updates, match notices, results, operational announcements, and promotional or marketing communications where permitted by law. User may opt out of marketing communications at any time, but Organizer may still send transactional, legal, security, or service-related communications.

11. Governing Law; Dispute Resolution; Arbitration

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms and the Privacy and Publicity Consent Policy (except as to substantive Tournament competition matters reserved to the Official Tournament Rules) are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The Official Tournament Rules are governed by Connecticut law as stated therein.

11.2 Tournament-Related Disputes

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to a Tournament, Tournament registration, eligibility, prizes, match results, or the interpretation or application of the Official Tournament Rules—including matters described in Sections 7 and 15 of the Official Tournament Rules—shall be resolved exclusively in accordance with Sections 14 and 15 of the Official Tournament Rules (including binding arbitration before JAMS, Hartford County, Connecticut, and the class action waiver stated therein).

11.3 Platform-Only Disputes

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Platform, or your account that does not arise out of or relate to Tournament participation, Tournament registration, or the Official Tournament Rules shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, with the seat in Hartford County, Connecticut, and the same class action waiver and pre-arbitration notice requirements as set forth in Section 15 of the Official Tournament Rules, which are incorporated herein by reference as if fully set forth.

11.4 Courts; Entry of Award; Injunctive Relief

The parties intend arbitration as the exclusive remedy for covered disputes, except that either party may seek temporary injunctive or equitable relief in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut where permitted by applicable law, and judgment on any arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms creates an agreement to litigate covered disputes in court in the first instance.

12. Modification of Terms

Organizer may modify these Terms at any time by posting revised Terms on the Platform. Any modifications become effective upon posting unless a later effective date is stated. User’s continued access to or use of the Platform after revised Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the applicable Official Tournament Rules, the Privacy and Publicity Consent Policy, and any other policies or disclosures expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between User and Organizer regarding the Platform and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings, communications, representations, or agreements relating to the subject matter.
